A New and Exciting Venture, and some other things

Everyone knows that I don't sleep very well. I started getting out of bed when this happens. Usually I refuse to let it be a time to go onto the Internet because it is too exciting for the senses, but the other night, as I was sitting on the couch knitting these really great booties, I thought to myself I should start a store on Etsy so I can sell these great booties.

I got on the Internet and went to Etsy looked around for booties like the ones I was making and found none (that is really exciting, perhaps I can fill a niche)! Now, I don't plan to really make any money from this, but it gives me incentive to make and finish items, since Christmas is over I have no people to make stuff for and these booties are so easy and fast. The Woolly Worm was born (a name I have been wanting for a business since I started spinning wool).
I haven't put anything up yet because I need to find a baby to try these on, I don't know which age these fit. I encourage people to look around Etsy there is some great things on it that people have made (although I think some people are too full of themselves and charge too much for their stuff).
One more thing:
I was watching Saturday Night Live the other night and really liked their musical guest. The Fleet Foxes remind me of a folksy Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Their vocals are so pretty.

And another thing:
Richard and I are taking the plunge and have decided to move. We looked at two places last weekend. We are going to keep looking, but we put in our notice to our landlord so we can't back out this time.

Those booties are really cute. Maybe sneek into a store with a measuring tape and measure some baby socks and pants in varying sizes.

I am glad to hear you are moving. Will you be staying in Bradford?

i found someone at my work who's sister has a 4 month old, so i am gonna have her try them on...also, i could go up to the thousands of new moms who come into the store. I am sure having a barista come up to them asking if their baby can try on a booty wouldnt be the weirdest thing they have been asked.

the areas we are looking at is still technically bradford, however they are the country part...sorda like lakewood to Tacoma or purdy and lakebay to gig harbor. they have their own names but they are in the constituency of bradford. we are not staying in the city anymore. we found out that one of the tennants downstairs was using the prostitutes, so that was it for me, I am not going thhrough this again. they installed a camera in the door way, but to me it is too little too late. Plus, when we went to look at the houses, the areas were so calm and quaint and you could hear the birds, I would beable to go for a stroll. We counted the number of people jogging and the number of icky kids "chavs", and the number of pakistani (I am not being racist). I think I could actually like england if i would just move from the city.

Wow, imagine that. Birds singing and actually being able to go for a walk without being harrassed. You deserve a better place to live. I'd help you move, but it is a bit of a drive

I think this will be a good idea. Moving out of the inner city will help you enjoy the world again. I have to tell my story here, which I know you have heard before, but... WAY back, about 1978 (a special year!), your Mom and I lived in Northgate in Seattle (yup, where you were born). I was gardening in the back yard. I was about 70 feet from the house when something caught my eye. It was your mother standing at the back door motioning to me and her mouth was moving. We lived 2 blocks off the freeway and I could not hear a word she was saying. Turned out to be a phone call, but it was at that moment I knew we had to get out of the city.
We did and have never looked back. I now live next to a river and, yes, a freeway can sound like a river, if you will it to. But, I have to say, a river DOES NOT sound like a freeway. The city can provide diversity, instant access and culture. But the country, even the edge of it, provides new energy, contemplation and birds that you can hear sing. You both have lived like that before - GO FOR IT!!

You're right barehoofin, the freeway can sound like a river, but the river hardly sounds like the freeway.
The places we are looking at are within easy access of the train station because we have no car and I have to get to Leeds (a metropolitan city). It is kinda fun looking at houses too. I am shocked to see, that few come with a fridge. It is so weird.

Jess, Your booties are so cute. Esty is fun, there are so many cool things to find on there. I am excited you are going to move too! I love looking at houses I'm glad you guys are enjoying it too. A fridge is vital!

Isn't that the weirdest thing ever to not have a property come with a fridge? They aren't all that expensive though, but the fact that we may have to buy one is crazy.
