Tip number 165: Carter's sizing and bananas

I love Carter's clothes.  I wish I had access to them here.  When I was home in the States, I took the opportunity of the low exchange rate and bought a bunch of clothes for the Sprout.  First of all, the Sprout is just below the 50% for a 6 month old (because he was 5 weeks early, he is weighed against the age he should be), so he isn't fat, although he is long.  So, I went ahead and bought clothes for a 6-9 month old.  You know how Carter's clothes tend to have one size on it?  It will just say "6" vs. "6-9".  Well I think this means "up to 6 months" because the Sprout has almost out grown all the clothes I got him.  It makes me sad because I got him some pretty cute stuff.

So be warned, buy one size larger than the month your baby actually is when buying Carter's clothes.
Here is a sizing chart from Carter's website

Another thing.  I have found that banana doesn't come out of terry cloth, which is annoying because now I have brown speckles on all of my wash cloths and bibs.
