How I spent "go screw yourself britain" day

From the web.

This is the first year I have not been home for the 4th of July. My friends and I have decided to call this day "Go Screw Yourself Britain" Day...so it isn't just me being mean.

Richard and I didn't do much, as an afterthought, we could have gotten a couple of fireworks as you can buy fireworks whenever you want here. The most common use for them is for Muslim and Hindu weddings. At our old house in Bradford, we got to watch large fireworks displays almost every weekend.

I did insist that we bar-b-q some hamburgers and watch some Disney American Legends cartoons which we were able to find on YouTube.

Around 11 pm, I was pleasantly surprised when I got to see a really small firework display near the city center...I assume it was some fellow Americans.

As you can see it was cloudy and a little rainy...just like it USUALLY is at home.
