Here is the first baby picture taken this morning. The sprout is 8 weeks 3 days old. It was cool because you could see the heart beating and everything. The picture isn't nearly as clear as it was on the monitor at the hospital, they were nice enough to add the words "baby" so you can see where it is (just under the word). It really did put it into perspective, that indeed, I am pregnant and am growing a thing inside by belly. Very strange.

Time to meet the sprout

Jess, I am so excited for this little baby! How are you feeling? Is the sprout making you sick? hungry? weird cravings?!
Some days I get sick, but I usually just throw up and then I am fine. I have to pee all the time and I am pretty hungry. I don't get weird cravings, but I get cravings for random specific things, like green olives, tuna fish, steak...a specific something.
Wow, reality! It always amazes me that every time I see one of these pictures it is both bizarre and profound at the same time. While there is nothing physically "pretty" about it, it is very emotionally beautiful. I wish I was there to give both you and Richard a big hug.
