I am one of those people who can't decide who the heck to vote for...I thought I had a better idea after the VP debate (I was really impressed with Joe Biden), but after Tuesday's "town hall" debate, I hope Hillary gets enough write-ins to win. These presidential debates have been a total let down. Both candidates, in my mind, lack spunk and inspiration. Even though I have not been a fan of Obama, I have listen to his speeches and agree he is a good speaker, however, he is doing just as I thought. He is a good speaker, but a not so great debater, who can't think on his toes and is stuck to the speech that he wrote over a year ago.
Maybe these are the kind of debates we should expect after a year and a half or so of campaigning and more than 9 months of primary debates. The candidates are tired and yadda, yadda. But to me, I would think they would be tired of their same 'ol speeches and would up the stakes in their debates. They know it all backwards and forwards, so why can't they elaborate, even ad-lib a little? There have been new happenings in the world in the past month, why aren't we hearing actual ways to fix it?? Even a believable "everything is going to be OK," or "We are all F**ked!" would suffice. I would vote for who ever said one of those things. Heck! I would vote for whomever straight out answered a question "yes," or "no."
Well, Richard and I are playing a drinking game for the next debate to make it more exciting. I am actually dreading getting my ballot in the mail, which should show up soon.
